Refunds & Cancellations
Clear transaction terms.
Responsible review.
This policy explains how Embajadores International Foundation, Inc. handles charitable-gift errors, recurring-gift cancellations, event payments, sponsorships, refunds, and transaction concerns.
Effective date: July 29, 2026
Last updated: July 29, 2026
1. Charitable donations
Completed charitable donations are generally final and nonrefundable. The Foundation may review a documented duplicate charge, incorrect amount, unauthorized transaction, processing error, legal requirement, or other exceptional circumstance. A request does not guarantee a refund.
2. How to report a transaction concern
Contact the Foundation promptly at info@embajadoresinternational.org or 786-443-3959. Include the donor or payer name, transaction date, amount, receipt or payment identifier, and a brief description of the issue. Do not send complete card numbers, bank-account numbers, passwords, or other sensitive payment information by email or ordinary website form.
3. Recurring donations
A donor may request cancellation of future recurring donations through the Stripe management options available with the transaction or by contacting the Foundation. Cancellation applies to future scheduled charges and ordinarily does not reverse donations already completed.
4. Approved refunds
When a refund is approved, it will ordinarily be returned through Stripe to the original payment method. Processing times depend on Stripe, the card network, and the donor’s financial institution. The Foundation cannot guarantee when a bank or card issuer will post the credit.
5. Event registrations and admission
Event-specific terms control refunds, transfers, substitutions, cancellations, postponements, weather changes, venue changes, and no-shows. Those terms will be stated before payment when an event requires a fee. If the Foundation cancels a paid event and does not provide a replacement or rescheduled benefit, the Foundation will determine and communicate the applicable refund or credit process.
6. Sponsorships
Sponsorship payments are governed by the applicable written sponsorship agreement, including benefits, recognition, cancellation, refund, and termination terms. A sponsorship may include goods, services, promotional value, or other benefits and should not automatically be treated as a fully deductible charitable contribution.
7. Merchandise and goods
The Foundation does not currently operate a general online merchandise store. Before goods are offered for sale, the applicable delivery, return, replacement, and refund terms will be stated on the relevant page or order form.
8. Drawings and games of chance
Payments or suggested donations associated with a lawful drawing are governed by event-specific official rules and applicable law. The ordinary donation checkout must not be represented as a required drawing entry fee. No purchase or donation is required to enter or win when required by applicable rules.
9. Chargebacks and disputes
Contact the Foundation before initiating a payment dispute when practicable so that a duplicate, error, cancellation, or other concern can be reviewed. Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
